Here are some tips on how to look for an apartment
With the help of a real estate agency
There are plenty of agencies in Prague that can help you in finding your new home. As we have already worked with some of them, here are some of the companies recommended by us:
Sreality
You can visit their websites and look at their offers. Be aware that the commission for the agency is often 100% of the monthly rent. In Czech, it is called "provize".

Search by yourself
It means that you can use common websites where owners share their advertisements directly or use Facebook groups for finding the apartment. Some of the sights still have real estate offers.
Bezrealitky
- strictly non-real estate
IMPORTANT!
Whether you choose to look via an agency or by yourself be prepared that besides the first rent, it is common to pay a security deposit (the name of it in the Czech language is ‘kauce’) which is equal to one or two-months rent.
You may notice that in some of the advertisements the rent does not include electricity, gas, and water fee (the name of it in the Czech language is ‘poplatky’ . They can be transferred in your name directly or if you agree with the owner they can be included in the monthly rental amount.
